WEAVING YARNS

Welcome to the new and exciting fibre, the last known fibre of the 20th Century. It is exciting because it is lighter than wool, it is warmer than wool, and it is a known fact that all the fibres are hollow.

Possum fur blended yarns should be shown and marketed as a specialist yarn. It is real luxury. It has all the qualities that the 21st Century will demand * Warm * Lightweight. The blends of Merino Wool, Possum and Silk give the quality that the world has been seeking of very lightweight garments and accessories that provide the warmth that this unique hollow fibre produces.

Woollen and Worsted spun yarns of Possum fur, New Zealand Merino Wool and Silk in counts suitable for knitting on 8 to 12 gg garment length machines.

Men's and women's knitted apparel including jerseys, scarves, socks, hats and gloves.

Woven rugs in a wool and Possum fur blend in distinctive New Zealand designs.

Non-woven products including bed underlays and jacket liners.

Possum fur is very light and extremely warm and when blended with New Zealand Merino Wool makes a unique product.

Sherwood will be able to offer fur in both Worsted and Woollen yarns. Prices are available on request.
